Linda,

It's so sweet of you to reply regarding my note. You're welcome to publish anything you wish. I'm honored that you want to. I had just wanted to thank you guys. The company you and Alan have put together is so ideal, it's a shame there aren't more out there like it. Of course, lucky for you, your unique perspectives and ideas will be exactly what sets you above the other MT companies (for both MTs and doctors). You're bound to be very, very successful, and I'm so thankful you are willing to give me a chance to be a part of it. It must make you sooo happy to literally be the answer to so many prayers!!!

I'd love to chat with you more (I feel I already know you from your newsletters), but it's late and my "little one" is bound to wake me up at the "crack of dawn." I stayed up late tonight to make an index file in my Transam folder of all the info and topics from your newsletters, info, etc. I noticed in one of the NLs Alan mentioned using Windows Explorer as a search engine, but only after I got halfway done. I want to be able to know where to find every piece of info! I'm sure there's probably an easier way to go about it, but my computer knowledge only goes so far. I'm learning quickly though. My husband has even been reading your newsletters- he's found lots of useful tidbits to use for his own computer use and we both joke about "The Lighter Side."  Sorry about my babbling. I know you're very busy. But I still hope to "chat" with you again sometime.

Have a great day!
Sarah

Hi Linda,

I've been remiss in not writing you sooner, so
please forgive me. I started as an intern with your
company at the end of March, and while I've had many
conversations with your husband, as well as with
Jacque and the editor, I've not yet had the
opportunity to e-mail you. I just wanted you to
know how excited I am to be working for your company.
It's a blessing to be given this opportunity as a new
MT, but it's an even greater blessing to be working
for and with people who are seeking to do the Lord's
will. Thank you for that.

I hope your vacation was enjoyable, and that you
two are not working too hard now that you've returned.
It sounds like there are many exciting things happening
as the company grows, and I look forward to the
newsletters to hear of the all the new developments.

Once again I'm sorry for taking so long to
introduce myself. I look forward to getting to know all of
you better as time goes on.

Thanks,
Suzanne - Portsmouth, Virginia

Hello Alan and Linda!

Just wanted to take a few minutes to say "Kudos" to the team at Transam. I have been very impressed with your organization from the first day.

I want to make sure that, as a transcriptionist in other fields for many years, you are aware of my heartfelt thanks for The MT Professional. I have never worked with any easier piece of equipment. Having the forward and reverse switched on the pedal makes life so much more comfortable; and such an easy thing to do! Too bad someone hadn't thought of it much sooner!!

I also must take a few moments to sing the praises of your editor, Anne. Her dedication and commitment to interns is very obvious. I have conversed with her via e-mail on many occasions and find the courage to continue in her ever-present patience and kindness. I look forward to any notes of encouragement Anne may send at the end of a trying day. They give me the boost I need to keep going.

It is sad in this day and age that we are all so busy with our individual lives that we don't take a moment to say "Thank You" to those who mean so much. On that note, THANK YOU Alan, Linda and Anne. I am very glad to be associated with such a fine organization, and look forward to the day I can become productive for you (and myself, of course). And I thank God that I now have all of you in my life.

Sandy D.

Dear Sir,

I trust it's not improper for me to contact you in a 'personal' manner this way but I just read your web site's "epic story..." and have tears in my eyes. What a wonderful man (couple) and a wonderful legacy he has left. His little idiosyncrasy of forgetting names etc... was precious and when you said that the "Lord seemed to have ground his sharp edges into a smooth gem stone..." you touched me!! I will remember that and share that line often as something I read that is so lovingly descriptive!!!

I wish I knew these people!

The note about the Christmas / not a Christmas card - he inadvertently was consoling you even before you lost him to your earthly life, funny and sad.

It's wonderful to know we are going to see those we love again when we walk into the presence of the Lord God Almighty. And sad we don't have their company for just a little while longer here.

Thank you for sharing this! God Bless you!

Sincerely,

Cordelia

Hello, Dr. Nancy!

I've returned the files sent to me for transcription to the FTP site. I think I sent them in the Rich Text Format and hope I did it right. (You're right...the instructions were "clear as mud" but am hoping all went well :-) This is my first experience dealing with FTP.

I look forward to your feedback on my first paid attempt. I don't mind admitting I'm rather nervous in taking this next step, and hope I don't disappoint you too badly.

Again, I can't tell you how welcome I feel with each person I deal with at Transam. From Linda and Alan on through the entire staff I have worked with, everyone has been so nice to me and truly helpful and encouraging. With time and your infinite patience, I hope to become one of your best MTs.

Thanks again.

Sandy D.

Hi Alan,

I was looking through the information that I downloaded, and I just wanted to say that you guys are so thorough. Your templates are magnificent, I am very impressed by your professionalism and I know that it will be a pleasure working with you. Thank you so much for bringing me on board.

Shari

Dear Alan and Linda,

Hello fellow Floridians. Glad to hear things are going well in Florida for you! My horse Diamond and I are moving to Naples Florida this Friday. I have five job interviews the first week I arrive, two of which are transcription jobs. I just finished level two of the internship today and I learned so much from it. I feel much more confidant now more then ever. This program is truly great, and Anne your editor is wonderful! I thank God for people like you every day.

Please say a prayer for me and Diamond as we travel 1200 miles south.

Take care,

Laura

Hi Linda:

Hope things are going well for you in Florida. From the sound of your October Newsletter, things sound really gorgeous out there.

Just wanted to send you a quick e-mail to let you know that my husband and I are expecting our second child in about two weeks, November 10th. I'm sure things will get delayed slightly as far as my internship program, but I will continue to work to finish it up as quickly as I can.

Our three-year-old daughter is very excited about her new brother's arrival! Just about every day she is asking if it's time yet and telling me how badly she wants to hold him! I would certainly appreciate your prayers for a safe delivery, as we had some complications with the birth of my daughter (she was born at 28 weeks). Will keep you updated and will forward a picture of our new bundle and his proud sister as soon as we can! :)

Thanks again to both you and Alan for all you do. I have truly learned a lot from this internship and I am looking forward to a long relationship with Transam Corp.

God Bless,

Michelle (Maryland)

Hi Michelle,

Thank you so much for your lovely letter. May we publish excerpts and also may we ask all of our MTs to pray for you? We would also be delighted to publish a picture of your new arrival.

God bless,

Linda and Alan

Linda:

You may publish any of my letters that I send you. And I would certainly appreciate all your prayers!! Thank you so much for caring about your MTs like you do!! I will certainly forward on a brag picture as soon as we can :)

As always - THANK YOU!!

Michelle

Hi, Alan.

Just wanted to let you know that I received your e-mail and have downloaded and been reading through all the past newsletters. They are just great! I am so blessed to be with a company that offers so much information and support to its MTs. The time and effort you and Linda put into this company is greatly commendable. I am honored to be a part of it, and am anxious to start working on my first files. Tomorrow I will have my Word 2000 installed and can download and study the set up files. I can't wait! Thanks again for this opportunity and I look forward to great things happening with your company. Have a great day!

Christy

The message below was to Linda of Transam before going out on a client presentation.

Be assertive, and show them your stuff. You have good stuff, so be confident. No wimpiness allowed. All right, Linda!!!
Nancy (Diplomat/Board-Certified Nancy)

(We showed them our stuff, and they liked it!)

Hi Alan and Linda,
I am glad things are on the up and up for your company.   I did say a little prayer for you so the meeting would go well. Did you know that studies have shown that if people pray for patients in the Coronary Care Unit, they do better? No kidding.

I hope Linda doesn't lose any sleep with the company expanding.  There will be some glitches, but everything works out in the end.

Below is an excerpt from a note from the prestigous English programmer/physicist who wrote "The MT Professional Sound Player," our digital transcriber.  Later a medical reference software package was developed which accompanies the MT Professional sound player.

Linda,

.......Thanks for the information.

Finally, it was a pleasure working with you guys. I have found you hardworking, honest and friendly all admirable qualities. I wish you, and Transam, every success for the future.

Matthew
