In an effort to improve the potential of our MTs' work skills,
Transam Associates has developed a Training Program. This program
takes the place of our former Internship and more accurately describes
the relationship in this hands-on learning experience. The Training
Program is designed to help prepare individuals to improve their
work capabilities. Valuable information and guidance is provided
to assist the Trainee in their professional development. It is a
method for coaching an individual to enhance their personal and
professional excellence. Trainees learn computer and transcription
skills, and gain the experience needed. The Training Program provides
objective and positive feedback on ways to improve proficiency and
productivity.
When you enter the tuition FREE Training
Program a Personal Trainer will be assigned to you. The Personal
Trainer will design a program specifically for you based on your
background, experience, training and abilities. Within the personal
web site created just for you, your Personal Trainer can communicate
with you live while you are transcribing. Along with the hands-on
transcription, your Trainer evaluates your progress, and may authorize
FREE to you courses
from the School of Medical Transcription, depending upon which areas
you need strengthening. Normally each course’s tuition
is $370, but you will be given the courses suggested by your
Personal Trainer FREE
of charge to you. Your investment in these courses will only be
the textbooks and special Transam software. In addition
Transam picks up the cost in tuition for your personal training
program and any courses from the School of Medical Transcription
that your Personal Trainer recommends. Special books and software purchase is required
to do the training and later the actual transcription work from
your home.
Purpose of the Program
The purpose of the program is career guidance and helping the Trainee
gain skills, knowledge, and abilities the Trainee wants to possess.
This program helps focus career direction, builds confidence and
encourages initiative, experimentation, and risk-taking.
We Give you the Experience Needed to Start Making Money
The Training Program helps the MT set up the equipment needed and
gain practice and knowledge in order to establish his/her independent
contracting business. Special software is required.
The Training Program is the step between your academic training
in medical transcription and an actual professional MT position.
It gives you the hands-on experience in preparing yourself for the
profession of medical transcription.
Companies and private practice physicians usually hire those who
have experience, and have gained the skill and talent in transcribing
and doing research for accurate reports. At first it takes time,
like putting a jigsaw puzzle together, to look up spellings of words
to see if they match with what you think you are hearing. The process
is fun and rewarding as you gain mastery over what you hear, and
what you type. The professional MT becomes so proficient that she/he
is able to recognize errors in a physician's dictation.
Some use this program to sharpen their skills, while others use
it to give them the required experience demanded by medical transcription
companies. Either way, this challenging and fun program helps prepare
you for your professional career working for Transam Associates,
another MT company of your choice, or as an independent contractor.
The Training package gives you the basic tools for success.

This is from C. Orth. I was an intern (Trainee) of yours just
a few months ago. I am writing to thank you once again for the tremendous
opportunity you gave me through Transam Associates. When I spent all the
money that I did to become an intern (for the Scribe, and also I
spent money on books and supplies, etc.), I was scared that I was
doing the wrong thing. It was the best thing I ever could have done.
Today I accepted a position with a large group here in Evansville,
Indiana as a full-time medical transcriptionist. I was offered the
job on the spot. I would not have been able to transcribe the VERY
EASY test they gave me without the experience I gleaned from Transam Associates. The test was only VERY EASY because of the difficult transcription

I have been offered a full time position with Health Services here
with the City of Hamilton. At this time I find it will be too much
